Digital Products and the "Order Summary" Element

From now on, Weblium stores offer the ability to sell not only physical but also digital products in the form of files and links. So, if you're selling e-books, music, certificates, or any other digital products (including those with restricted access via a link), this update is tailored for you.

To sell digital products, you’ll need to connect a payment system to your website in advance and set up automated customer emails. These additional tools ensure that buyers receive access to their products via the email they provided during checkout immediately after payment. To create a digital product, simply add it to your store and upload the corresponding files or product links to the product card.

As part of this update, we’ve also introduced a new "Order Summary" element, which allows users to access their purchased digital products on the Thank You page. We recommend creating this page and adding a link to it in your payment system integration settings. Paid digital products will be displayed on the Thank You page for 24 hours, allowing users to download files both from their email and directly from the Thank You page.

Major Weblium Updates for Online Stores

Our team has released a large number of important updates that will enable even more efficient work with e-commerce, helping to create not only beautiful but also highly functional online stores. In this brief digest, we have compiled information about all the latest updates to improve your store's efficiency.

A quick reminder: you can easily import products from other platforms into your Weblium online store, connect CRM systems (KeyCRMBookon CRM, SalesDrive) in just a few clicks, and create your own integrations using Webhook and Zapier.

Filters

Now you can set up convenient filtering by price and product parameters for your online store, allowing customers to quickly find exactly what they are looking for. Flexible settings let you choose product categories and parameters to display, change the sorting type, and customize the appearance of the filter panel.

Automated order confirmation emails

Send your customers confirmation emails with order details immediately after they place an order on the site. You can either use an integration with SendGrid or send emails directly through Weblium. The connection is made in just a few clicks, and in the settings, you can edit the email content and run a test of the mailings.

Waybill generation for Nova Poshta

Now you can create shipping waybills for orders on your site in just a few clicks directly in Weblium. This significantly speeds up the order processing time and eliminates the need to manually input data when generating waybills. To generate a waybill, you need to connect the Nova Poshta integration, fill in the sender's details, and then click the "Generate waybill" button in the relevant order under the "Orders" section. But please note that this update works only with Ukrainian branches of “Nova Poshta”.

Creating promo codes for your online store

Add promo codes to your store to make it easier for your customers to shop and for you to track marketing activities. You can set limits on promo code usage (expiration date, minimum order amount, specific product category, and number of activations) and choose the discount type — a fixed amount or percentage.

Black Friday is just around the corner, and we hope our updates will help you set new records and get the most out of your online store. Happy shopping!

Automatic Email Sending for Order Placement

You can now set up automatic email sending for your customers as soon as they place an order on your website. This can be done in one of two ways: by integrating with SendGrid or by sending emails directly through Weblium (useful if you don’t have a SendGrid account).

The control panel for automatic emails is located under the "Client emails" tab, which can be found in the store settings (directly in the "Settings" section).

To connect the SendGrid integration, you need to provide an API key generated on the SendGrid side, as well as the email address from which the emails will be sent. To send emails directly through Weblium, you only need to specify the sender’s email.

We have pre-prepared a standard email template with order details, but you can easily make any changes, such as adding your contact information or modifying variables, a list of which you will find during the email editing process.

Once you have activated email sending and made all the desired changes to the email content, you can test its functionality — simply click the "Send test email" button located at the bottom of the integration settings, and we will send an email to the address you use for Weblium authorization.

A more detailed guide on setting up, customizing, and testing trigger emails can be found in our Help Center.

Filters for Ecommerce

We have developed a new feature that allows users of your website to filter products by categories and parameters. The filter functionality is available as the "Product catalog with cilters" block (found in the "Ecommerce" category in the block library) and as the "Product catalog" element (available in the element addition panel), which you can add to any block.

In the "Product catalog with filters" block, filter display is enabled by default. To activate filters in the "Product catalog" element, you need to go to its settings and enable the "Show filters" toggle. A field will be added to the left side of the element, containing a list of all categories, subcategories, and parameters set in your store and product settings. In both the block and the element, you can edit this list and select which categories, subcategories, and parameters to display in the filters. You can also choose to display only product subcategories without linking them to the category they belong to.

For user convenience, we made the filters dynamic, meaning that when a certain category or subcategory of products is selected, only the parameters available in that category will be displayed.

The "Product" element is available in the Flex block

We have added a new "Product" element to the Flex block, allowing you to display details about a specific product from your catalog along with a "Buy" button. You can duplicate, copy, delete, and move the product within the Flex block, adjust its position and size separately for each version of the site, and manage the element's content — enabling or disabling the display of the description, price, SKU, or button (the product name and photo are displayed by default).

In our Help center, you can always find useful tips on working with elements in the Flex block.

Creating promo codes in online store

Now, in the settings of your online store, you can create promo codes for your customers. By going to the "Promo codes" section in the site settings, you can click on the "Add promo code" button and enter all the necessary information: the name of the promotion (for example, "Summer Sale"), the promo code that you will provide to customers (for example, SUMMER25), and the discount amount either as a percentage or a fixed sum. You can also set a limit on the number of times the promo code can be used and make it applicable only to orders of products from certain categories in your store, and also specify the minimum order amount for the promo code to apply.

Due to this update, the promo code input field will be automatically added to the shopping cart for all new stores. If your store is already created or you want to hide this field, you can manage its display on the shopping cart page in the editor.

Have a nice shopping trip!

New absolute element “Menu” in Flex block

Now, you can add the “Menu” in the Flex block, which will allow you to better arrange interactive elements on your website. The settings of the “Menu” element include changing the width, font, colors and size of the text, the menu type (horizontal or vertical), and specifying a gap between menu items.

Turning off the auto display of distances

We have added an option to turn off the editor's auto-display of distances. This will help improve visibility when there are a large number of elements in the block.

To turn off the auto display, you should deactivate the switch "Show distance" in the editor's navigation panel. When you do this, the distances will be displayed only when you hold down the Alt key (for Windows) and Option (for macOS). By default, the auto display is enabled.
